Director of the Institute
Dariusz Prostanski, Ph.D., Professor ITG KOMAG employed as Director of the Institute since 2018, previously as Director of Development. He has been associated with KOMAG since the beginning of his professional career. He carries out active scientific activities in the entire scope of KOMAG Institute’s activities. In addition, he undertakes various project initiatives aimed at applying in national and international projects, prepares young employees to undertake scientific activities and design activities. It initiates the undertaking of new directions of development, among others, related to related to energy storage or the use of permanent magnets, heat pipes and new mechanical solutions with a high level of innovation. Current activities also include the development of new inventions and innovative solutions implemented in the mining industry. Member of Scientific Councils of research institutes, Social Councils of universities, Mining Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences or the European Coal and Steel Association EURACOAL, Member of the Program Council of the National Chamber of Energy Clusters, Member of the Boards of Directors of SITG and the Polish Society for Mineral Processing.
