He gained practical experience in iron and steel metallurgy during his many years of professional work in the blast furnace department of an integrated steel mill. Expert on BAT best available techniques in steel production and processing. Author of industry guides on the application of BAT techniques in the metallurgical industry. Co-author of 12 patents and patent applications in the fields of iron-bearing waste utilization, making steel directly from iron ore using hydrogen, and hydrogen production.
