Conference Privacy Policy
I. Privacy Policy
- This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) contains information concerning the processing of personal data collected in connection with participation in the conference entitled “Industry 5.0 – Transformation Challenges of the Industrial Sector” organised on 4-6 September 2024 (the “Conference”).
- The administrator of the personal data collected in connection with your participation in the Conference is EXPO Katowice S.A. with its registered office in Katowice (40-160), al. W. Korfantego 51/46, entered in the Kraków Register of Entrepreneurs under the KRS number 0000008533, NIP: 634 241 26 02, which is also the organiser of the Conference (“Administrator”).

II. For what purposes and what personal data do we process?
- The Administrator processes personal data in accordance with the Regulation of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (“RODO”).
- We process personal data collected through the Conference registration form available on the website accessible at https://przemysl-50.pl/rejestracja/ (the “Service”).
- The Administrator processes the following personal data of users (who are participants of the Conference): name, e-mail address, telephone number, company name and position. Provision of the above data is voluntary, however, it is necessary for the conclusion of an agreement with the Administrator on participation in the Conference and its performance. In the case of participants enrolled by another user, the Administrator additionally collects and processes the following personal data of the Service user provided through the Conference registration form: name and surname, e-mail address, telephone number.
Users’ personal data are processed for purposes related to the handling of participation in the Conference, as part of the Administrator’s performance of the contract for participation in the Conference, pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) RODO. - Personal data of a participant enrolled by another user is processed for purposes related to the handling of participation in the Conference, on the basis of the participants’ consent – Article 6(1)(b) RODO.
- During the Conference, photo and video shoots may be carried out and therefore the Administrator will process your image on the basis of the consent of Article 6(1)(a) RODO.
- After the execution of the contract for participation in the Conference, the basis for data processing, within the limits set out in the paragraph below, will be the Administrator’s legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) RODO), manifested in the pursuit of the Administrator’s legal security.
- Your personal data may be subject to profiling for the purposes for which it was collected. However, this data will not be used by the Administrator for automated decision-making.
III. How long do we keep your personal data?
- We will process your personal data until the statute of limitations for any claims arising from the conclusion of a contract with the Administrator for participation in the Conference.
- If you have given your consent to the processing of your data for marketing purposes, your personal data will be processed for this purpose until you withdraw your consent.
IV. To whom do we transfer your personal data?
- The recipients of your personal data are employees and associates of the Administrator. The recipients of this data may also be entities that provide services to the Administrator in the organisation of the Conference or assist the Administrator with marketing purposes.
- In some cases, your personal data may also be transferred to public authorities. This will only be the case where we are obliged to do so by applicable law.
V. Your rights

- You are entitled to the following rights:
- The right to request access to the content of your personal data;
- The right to rectification of your personal data: if you believe that your personal data is inaccurate or incomplete;
- The right to erasure of your personal data;
- The right to restrict the processing of your personal data;
- The right to object to the processing of your personal data: you can object to the processing of your personal data on grounds relating to your particular situation. You have an absolute right to object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes, including profiling related to direct marketing. As the basis for the processing may be the legitimate interest of the Administrator, i.e. the establishment, assertion or defence of the Administrator’s claims, the processing of the personal data of participants submitted by another user, in order to participate in the Conference (Article 6(1)(f) RODO) you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data;
- The right to withdraw consent: if you have consented to the processing of your personal data, you may withdraw your consent at any time, whereby withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent prior to withdrawal;
- The right to portability of your personal data: where lawful, you may request that the personal data you have provided to us be returned to you or transferred to a third party.
- We make the utmost effort to provide you with the fullest protection of your personal data in accordance with applicable law. If you nevertheless consider that we are processing your personal data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, which in Poland is the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection.
VI. Cookies
- We use technologies, such as cookies, to collect and process personal data in order to personalise the content of advertisements displayed on other pages and to analyse traffic on the Website.Cookies allow us to better understand how you interact with the Website. By doing so, they allow us to better organise its layout. They also collect information about your use of the Website, the page from which you were redirected, as well as the number of visits and the length of your visit to each page. Cookies are also used to improve the personalisation of advertising messages by us and our partners. Service cookies are stored on your device automatically if your browser settings allow this. A cookie usually contains the name of the domain from which it originates, its “validity period” and an individual random number identifying the cookie. The information contained in cookies may be combined with other data you provide, including the email address you provide. You can disable cookies in your browser settings. If you use this option, you will be able to navigate the Website, but the operation of certain features may be limited. If you use the Website without disabling cookies in your browser settings, we will assume that you consent to the use of cookies.
- The Website uses both Administrator’s cookies and cookies from third parties.
VII. Google Analytics
- The website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). The Google Analytics tool uses a cookie that is stored on your computer and allows you to use the Service. Information about your use of the Service, as well as demographic, geolocation and interest information, is transferred to a Google server in the United States by default and stored there. The Website uses IP anonymisation. This means that your IP address will be truncated in advance by Google in member countries of the European Union or in other countries outside the European Union which are signatories to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. The full IP address, before truncation, will only be sent to a Google server in the United States in exceptional cases. Google uses the transmitted information to analyse, for the benefit of the Administrator, your use of the Website, to compile reports on Website activity and to provide other services to the Administrator, related to the use of the Website and the Internet. The IP address identified by Google Analytics will not be combined with other data collected by Google.
VIII. Remarketing
- The website uses remarketing tool cookies to target you with Facebook (Facebook Pixel), LinkedIn Ads and Google (Google Advertising Network).
IX. Web beacons
- In addition to cookies, the Service may also collect data customarily collected by web system administrators as part of so-called logs or log files. The information contained in the logs may include, but is not limited to, your IP address, type of platform and internet browser, your internet provider and the address of the page from which you accessed the Service. Some sub-pages within the Service may contain so-called web beacons. Web beacons allow us to receive information such as, for example, the IP address of the computer to which the page on which the web beacon was placed was loaded, the URL of the page, the time the page was loaded, the type of browser, as well as information contained in cookies, in order to evaluate the effectiveness of our advertisements.
X. IP address
- The Administrator reserves the right to collect IP addresses of visitors to the Website, which may̨ be helpful in diagnosing technical problems with the server, creating statistical analyses (e.g. determining from which regions we record the highest number of visits). In addition, they may̨ be useful in administering and improving the Website. IP addresses are collected anonymously, which means that they are not associated with any user data.
XI. Changes to the Privacy Policy
- We may need to make changes to our Privacy Policy. If there is a change to the Privacy Policy we will inform you.
- This Privacy Policy is effective as of 29.01.2024.
